This past weekend, Kobi had his first visit from a fan of his book. Bella, a 9-year-old from Philadelphia, was down in Florida for her Spring Break visiting a family friend, Linda, who also happens to be a friend of mine.
Linda asked if Bella could come and meet Kobi, since she read (and loved) his book. Of course I said yes!
Bella was sweet and very quiet, so at first I had a difficult time seeing if she enjoyed her visit – but the pictures say it all! (My favorite is Bella’s expression in the second picture.)
I think Kobi enjoyed all of the attention (I know he loved all the treats), but I won’t let it all go to his head – that’s big enough already!
And in case anyone noticed Kobi’s hair loss above his mouth – his allergies are flaring up again.

About Heather Hamel
Growing up with horses is a little girls dream come true. Heather’s dream in life was to be a horse trainer - how dreams change - sort of!
She moved to the wonderfully historic town of St. Augustine, Florida and was a historic tour guide and a ghost story teller while putting herself through college to become a special education teacher. After graduating, she felt the pull of horses in her life again. That's when she met Kobi!
She learned quickly that when you own horses you become a part time vet, part time nutritionist, and full time equestrian. She wouldn't change a thing!
In addition to being completely obsessed with her herd, she still teaches and tutors students with learning disabilities, and more specifically, dyslexia.
Thank you for allowing us to visit. We had a wonderful time meeting you and Kobi.
You are welcome-I had a great time too & I’m sure Kobi loved the attention too!
