Back in the World of Fairies

With the successful June historical conference behind me, my sights are already set on the conference in October.

Not only am I excited to see if Kobi’s story won in our category (unpublished middle grade), I’m steadily working on the crypto-zoological 4 book series to pitch.

I’ve put Buffalo Bill on the back burner (again) and dove back into the world of fairies, changelings, mermaids, and Bigfoot.  It’s been fun to forget myself in the ‘crytpo-zoological vortex’ again.

Under Sapphire Skies (the first in the series) is so close to completion I can almost taste it – less than 10 chapters and 10,000 words to go; Beneath Diamond Waters isn’t too far behind that.

Keep you fingers crossed and send any thoughts of fairies and mermaids my way!

About Heather Hamel

Growing up with horses is a little girls dream come true. Heather’s dream in life was to be a horse trainer - how dreams change - sort of! She moved to the wonderfully historic town of St. Augustine, Florida and was a historic tour guide and a ghost story teller while putting herself through college to become a special education teacher. After graduating, she felt the pull of horses in her life again. That's when she met Kobi! She learned quickly that when you own horses you become a part time vet, part time nutritionist, and full time equestrian. She wouldn't change a thing! In addition to being completely obsessed with her herd, she still teaches and tutors students with learning disabilities, and more specifically, dyslexia.
