According to the news this morning, St. Augustine has gotten almost 8 inches of rain in the past 48 hours, with alerts of flash flooding.
I snuck out to feed the horses during a lull. I put on my rain boots and sloshed out to the barn. Kobi’s stall is flooded. His normally large stall has been shrunk to about a 4′ x 4′ area where he’s not pastern deep in muck.
I keep telling myself that all of this rain is good for my grass, the blackberry bushes, and all of the blueberry crops…but did we really need to get ALL of the rain within 2 days?
Think dry thoughts today!
