Updates and Honesty Check

Alright – I tried to put the allergy socks on the horses yesterday.  Emphasis on the word ‘tried’.  At first, Toni and I thought that Kobi’s ‘pony size’ was too small and maybe he was larger than I thought, so we attempted to put Sugar’s on her.  No luck.  In the horses defense, they were awesome about me putting a ziploc baggie over their hooves while tugging and pulling some foreign object over their feet.

I will try again later on in the week when I’m not as frustrated.  They are also due to have their hooves trimmed today, so I’m hoping that might help.  I’m not sure how it will help, but I’m hoping!

I’m also still on track with writing the new series.  If I can keep up with my goal of 4 chapters a week, theoretically 1 chapter per book/per week, I will finish the first draft of all of them in 8 weeks (when school gets out for the summer).

Keep your fingers crossed for me!

About Heather Hamel

Growing up with horses is a little girls dream come true. Heather’s dream in life was to be a horse trainer - how dreams change - sort of! She moved to the wonderfully historic town of St. Augustine, Florida and was a historic tour guide and a ghost story teller while putting herself through college to become a special education teacher. After graduating, she felt the pull of horses in her life again. That's when she met Kobi! She learned quickly that when you own horses you become a part time vet, part time nutritionist, and full time equestrian. She wouldn't change a thing! In addition to being completely obsessed with her herd, she still teaches and tutors students with learning disabilities, and more specifically, dyslexia.
