Weekend in Review

We have had a nutty weekend here at the Triple H Ranch.  I

We tried to celebrate Les’s 55th birthday yesterday.  But then a pipe burst (due to a kinked hose) so instead of relaxing, he spent the afternoon fixing the pipe and instead of going out to dinner, we ordered take out and kept running out side to make sure the pipe wasn’t leaking and could actually take showers!  Needless to say, one of his birthday presents was a non-kinking hose.

In the middle of the plumbing incident, I did my first 3K with some friends.  We didn’t win, but had a great time laughing at ourselves.

I met my writing goal for the week – I’m up to having a total of 21 chapters written for the current 4 book crypto-zoology series!

The new diet is also going well – lost 6 lbs in the two weeks since I’ve started it.  It’s based on whole, non processed, foods and keeping my stress hormones to a minimum (which is always a good thing!)

Let’s see what today holds for us!

About Heather Hamel

Growing up with horses is a little girls dream come true. Heather’s dream in life was to be a horse trainer - how dreams change - sort of! She moved to the wonderfully historic town of St. Augustine, Florida and was a historic tour guide and a ghost story teller while putting herself through college to become a special education teacher. After graduating, she felt the pull of horses in her life again. That's when she met Kobi! She learned quickly that when you own horses you become a part time vet, part time nutritionist, and full time equestrian. She wouldn't change a thing! In addition to being completely obsessed with her herd, she still teaches and tutors students with learning disabilities, and more specifically, dyslexia.
