New Characters

One of the problems being an aspiring writer is that wherever I go, I’m struck by inspiration.  I went to one course and the instructor told us than when ‘stalking’ new characters, even eavesdrop on conversations (and write them down) as material.  While I haven’t written down whole conversations yet, I’m getting close!

Les and I have been out quite a bit this weekend while we antiqued in Mt. Dora and went out with friends.  We’ve noticed there are certain woman who travel in packs to such events – I’ve started calling them the B & B’s or Black and Blues.  They almost always where black tops with blue jeans and black boots and they ALWAYS travel in groups!

One on one, these woman are fine, but when you find them in a group – watch out!  I have had the most fun stalking them this weekend and trying to find a way to work them into a novel (probably the adult/chick lit book I’m tossing around).  At least now you’re warned!

About Heather Hamel

Growing up with horses is a little girls dream come true. Heather’s dream in life was to be a horse trainer - how dreams change - sort of! She moved to the wonderfully historic town of St. Augustine, Florida and was a historic tour guide and a ghost story teller while putting herself through college to become a special education teacher. After graduating, she felt the pull of horses in her life again. That's when she met Kobi! She learned quickly that when you own horses you become a part time vet, part time nutritionist, and full time equestrian. She wouldn't change a thing! In addition to being completely obsessed with her herd, she still teaches and tutors students with learning disabilities, and more specifically, dyslexia.
