Ok…so maybe I’m more creative than I’ve ever thought!  When I started quilting last summer, it opened up a whole new world to me.  The colors, the patterns, and I think it even improved my writing and let me know it was OK to go out on a creative limb.

But I never, EVER would have dreamed I would get so excited about fabric patterns…EVER!  I took mom out for her birthday to JoAnn’s Fabric.  She’s always wanted me to share her love of crafting but until this past summer, craft stores scared me!  So I thought it would be a 2-for gift (1 the craft shop and 2 me going with her!)  I also brought my newly found, long lost sister, Kristin, who shares my love of writing, riding and quilting!

Check out the awesome fabrics I came home with!!  But unfortunately I can’t share any of the upcoming projects yet…I don’t want to give away any of next Christmas gifts just yet!

About Heather Hamel

Growing up with horses is a little girls dream come true. Heather’s dream in life was to be a horse trainer - how dreams change - sort of! She moved to the wonderfully historic town of St. Augustine, Florida and was a historic tour guide and a ghost story teller while putting herself through college to become a special education teacher. After graduating, she felt the pull of horses in her life again. That's when she met Kobi! She learned quickly that when you own horses you become a part time vet, part time nutritionist, and full time equestrian. She wouldn't change a thing! In addition to being completely obsessed with her herd, she still teaches and tutors students with learning disabilities, and more specifically, dyslexia.
