Letter to Santa

Dear Santa,

I wanted to give you time before Christmas to update your Naughty and Nice lists – there have been some changes here at the Triple H Ranch.

First of all, Kobi needs to move to the Naughty list.  The only positive thing I can say about our ride together today is that I managed to stay on.  And that was without Kobi’s help.  Just this morning alone, he nipped my leg, refused to trot, planned and executed a spectacular spook, and balked at different colored grass.  All within a 30 minute attempted ride.

Sugar needs to move to the Nice list.  Since starting her on Mare Magic last week, she is a sweetheart.  She greets me at the barn (in or out of her stall) and nickers when she sees me.

Cuzzin should stay on the Naughty list.  He continues to run away every morning to visit the neighbors.

Cricket – Hmmm, I’m undecided on her.  Part of me says the Naughty list.  Have you seen what she’s done to the screens?  The other part says nice list (she’s just so darn cute!)

Les should stay on the Nice list.  He mucks the stalls every day and feeds the horses almost every night, all without complaint.

As for me…I don’t have enough free time to be naughty (or nice)…surprise me!

About Heather Hamel

Growing up with horses is a little girls dream come true. Heather’s dream in life was to be a horse trainer - how dreams change - sort of! She moved to the wonderfully historic town of St. Augustine, Florida and was a historic tour guide and a ghost story teller while putting herself through college to become a special education teacher. After graduating, she felt the pull of horses in her life again. That's when she met Kobi! She learned quickly that when you own horses you become a part time vet, part time nutritionist, and full time equestrian. She wouldn't change a thing! In addition to being completely obsessed with her herd, she still teaches and tutors students with learning disabilities, and more specifically, dyslexia.
