It’s one of those questions that make your stomach hurt as soon as you hear it: Guess what I found while picking up horse poo?
As soon as Les asked me, my stomach dropped to my feet. A question like that can only have one answer: a snake.
“But guess what kind?” If you ever have to guess, you know it’s venomous. Non-venomous snakes are rarely surrounded by the same excitement as the ones that can kill you.
Now, I know that living next to a 4,000 acre swamp, there are probably thousands of rattlesnakes in the woods. I just don’t like it when they come to my side of the fence!
Just to set everyone’s mind at ease, no one (animal, human, or the snake) were injured during yesterday’s excitement. Hopefully the snake felt tormented enough by Les to stay far, far away. And if it tells all it’s friends to stay away – all the better!
