Horse Clinic

I’ve always told myself that if certain world-renowned trainers came to Florida, I would go see them. I finally have an opportunity to spend the weekend with one of my favorite trainers, Julie Goodnight, and I get to bring Kobi with me!

As soon as I saw Julie Goodnight was coming to Plumwood Arabian Farms in Altoona, Florida in April to give a clinic, I started planning. The clinic is limited to only 15 horses and their riders and is for both Saturday and Sunday, 9-5 each day. I, personally, cannot think of a better way to spend a weekend in April, than with Kobi for 16 hours and a trainer I have admired for years.

I have our clinic spot reserved and a reservation at the on site guesthouse – now I only have 3 months to wait!

About Heather Hamel

Growing up with horses is a little girls dream come true. Heather’s dream in life was to be a horse trainer - how dreams change - sort of! She moved to the wonderfully historic town of St. Augustine, Florida and was a historic tour guide and a ghost story teller while putting herself through college to become a special education teacher. After graduating, she felt the pull of horses in her life again. That's when she met Kobi! She learned quickly that when you own horses you become a part time vet, part time nutritionist, and full time equestrian. She wouldn't change a thing! In addition to being completely obsessed with her herd, she still teaches and tutors students with learning disabilities, and more specifically, dyslexia.
