Happy Thanksgiving

This time of year everyone finds something to be thankful for. Like everyone else, there are many things in my life for which I am extremely thankful.

Of course family and continued health top the list. Next would be my wonderful, supportive friends who never roll their eyes when I go to them and ask, “What do you think about…” or “I think we should…” All of you are amazing and I am fortunate to have you in my life.

Surprisingly, coming in third are my beautiful, talented, and healthy horses. There’s a shirt out now that states: When I count my blessings, I count my horse twice. I can understand that sentiment more each day. I fell blessed to have Kobi and Sugar in my life.

Rounding out my list of things to be thankful for are my other wonderful critters, Cuzzin the dog and Cricket the kitten, my fabulous house that allows me to have all my animals with me as well as an amazing porch to relax and admire them on, and finally, a good job to pay for it all!

Happy Thanksgiving from the Triple H Ranch. I hope your day is as wonderful as mine!

About Heather Hamel

Growing up with horses is a little girls dream come true. Heather’s dream in life was to be a horse trainer - how dreams change - sort of! She moved to the wonderfully historic town of St. Augustine, Florida and was a historic tour guide and a ghost story teller while putting herself through college to become a special education teacher. After graduating, she felt the pull of horses in her life again. That's when she met Kobi! She learned quickly that when you own horses you become a part time vet, part time nutritionist, and full time equestrian. She wouldn't change a thing! In addition to being completely obsessed with her herd, she still teaches and tutors students with learning disabilities, and more specifically, dyslexia.
