A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to go to the hotel in Cassadaga, Florida with my good friend Toni for a psychic reading. For those of you not familiar with the town, Cassadaga is a spiritual camp dating back to the 1890’s.
Toni and I made the hour and a half journey for pure enjoyment, as well as to celebrate both of our birthdays. The psychic we chose was Jaime, who is also does psychic pet readings. According to her biography she is able to conduct animal readings from a photograph.
At the end of my reading, I grabbed out a picture of Kobi. She took the photo and started investigating it. To my relief and surprise, her first words weren’t her shrieking, “El Diablo, take it away!” She asked calmly, “What do you want to know?
The one thing that Jaime kept going back to was Kobi needing a shelter. I assured her that he had shelter, and loved it dearly. Especially in the rain! Jaime continued expressing concern with Kobi and the sun. “He needs protection and a place to get away from the sun,” she told me.
Next, she told me the words every horse owner wants to hear, “He’s beautiful,” as she handed me back the picture. That was all psychic Jaime had to say.
Armed with no more information than when I started, I smiled and thanked with her, knowing I won’t confine Kobi to his stall all day; he has plenty of trees to stand under for shade. After all, before Kobi started his life with me, he didn’t have a stall or even trees for shade, the plains of Nevada don’t have much protection to offer their wild horses. Kobi will be just fine!
